The Falls Creek Falls in TN.
Every-now-and-then you receive a moment that your heart was blessed at the time, and then when you get home you are blessed a second time when in post processing. This mountain is so striking being all rock and the river at the bottom you can barely see is flowing at the pace of a gush. I love the play of light and shadow along the face of this rock slowing leading me down into the valleyed possibly up the other side. My heart is thrilled in peace with this received moment. LHM, CHM, LHM.
One of my favorite places on the planet! This is the ranch lands just before Angel Fire, NM coming from Mora, NM. Obviously during the monsoon season. I just love it!
Slot Canyon @ Tent Rocks a BLM park! Loved the leading lines of the canyon walls! Real cool place to visit and receive photos all year around.
If you love in or around Albuquerque, NM you will fall in love with these mountains. And you love them even more when a cold front is moving through. The dancing of shadows over the mountains was such a thin space moment for me. The small white boxes on the bottom of the image are large homes to give you a small understanding of the six of these mountains. I hope you are blessed by this image.
Can't even express to you the number of times I fished off the left side of this bridge. Tons of memories, and so sad this bridge is falling apart, but love the feel of life moving on.
Walking in a Riverbed off the Road to Taos north of Santa Fe southeast of the Pueblo of Pojoaque. I was drawn to the dry earth, and yet, I knew I had to leave the riverbed soon, or I would be dealing with a small flood. The contrast of the curled clay river bottom and monsoon rains in the mountains was amazing!
Tent Rocks at the opening of the slot canyon. I feel in love with the roots of this tree! An amazing little hidden gem in New Mexico just south of Santa Fe and north of Albuquerque.
Pecan Grove beside the Franciscan Retreat Center called Holy Cross at Mesilla Park near Las Cruces, NM. This path is a journey with trees not only providing direction, but branches reaching over for comfort.
Few places in my life so far have brought such peace to me, my heart, and my soul. It is what my mind envisioned Rivendale to be similar to in the Lord of the Rings. I just can not express my love for this moment, and overtime I visit I feel the same way. I have received this moment Winter, Spring, Fall, and Summer. A part of my heart will always be here. LHM, CHM, LHM.
Short hike in Tent Rocks. I was taken by the tree, and when I saw the angle of the pointing as with fingers towards the small valley, I knew that this photo needed to be received.
Valles Caldera Experimental National Perserve has old ranch houses that are falling apart, and I loved the history oozing from this building. I could just imagine the family or people living in these houses. Amazing, and striking to me.
Found a branch hanging out on the Licking River.
Road from Carrizoz right after the River of Fire
While driving between El Paso and Albuquerque, there are two or three valleys on the interstate. The sun was setting and I was hoping for some shadows and contrast to join the same in the clouds. There is just something in my Visio Divina that told me to stop and grab my camera to receive a moment. As I stood beside the loud and truck filled interstate the wind calmed, and the moment came alive. It happen in reality around 5-7 mins, but the Karios mont lasted much longer. The road below gives me the sense of a journey, and the gentle hugs of the shadows over the mountains in the distance bring a sense of close and comfort. Be Blessed to be a blessing!
Snow in the desert is rare, especially this much snow. And when it happens it does not last long. The Sandia Mountains here in Albuquerque, NM are such a striking mountains that so many people have fallen in love with. The snow and clouds provide a peace that must be experienced. The patterns in the wood, the ethereal clouds, and then remnants of wildlife movement in the snow provide a image that invokes this special thin space moment.
Just a single pine tree on the road in the Valles Caldera Experimental National Preserve.
The sheer volume of water flowing from this river was astounding. This moment forced anyone to respect the river below, and the striking valley that is formed by this red rock mountains. LHM, CHM, LHM.
Sometimes it is worth it to go back through your old photos and see what you might get to be blessed by, after a few years under your belt of post and receiving photos! This one was of a barn in Union KY, right off a main road. I loved the sun rays and the old barn. Proving that it is worth it to go back into your photos when you might not have gas or time to go out and receive photos, you probably have some good ones in there anyway!
In person this moment is filled with bright red cliffs on the right side, but when converted to Black and White your view shifts tot he plants in the foreground and the shadow caused by there clouds in the far background. And the road on the leftist is inviting me to travel to the shadows. LHM, CHM, LHM.
This was a moment I received a few years ago while on my Anniversary in Pipestem State Park Resort. It was one of those moments that was just experienced and never able to "capture" What a beautiful place and I hope to return someday.
I had been driving by these light towers for a few months and overtime I drove by they were almost calling to me. So, I decided one evening to stop on the side of the road and receive this moment that was haunting me for a few months every evening I drove by going home from work.
Went to walk the beach in the morning one summer in Texas. something contemplative and peaceful with the light of the sun hitting the clouds while the moon was slowly fading away allowing for the sun to have it's turn to play with this side of the earth.
